I’m up late doing some marking and prep for classes later this week, so to break the tedium I’ve dipped into some news items for you.

• An original of Poe’s first book of poems fetched nearly $700K.
• Salty Ink has an article outlining some of the top young writers of Atlantic Canada. I’ve been reading and enjoying Pelley, but have Ferguson’s book of poems in the queue.
• A. F. Moritz talks about the new volume called The Best Canadian Poetry in English, which he edited.
• Canada Reads has announced the next line up of books in its reading list. Might give you some ideas for upcoming reading.
